Elliot Bannister

Solicitor

“We personally feel a weight has been lifted now as we can try to close this chapter of grief and move on as best we can. None of this would’ve been possible without all the hard work and dedication of Elliott and the team. Although we can never have our relative back, we find comfort in knowing he got the justice he deserved. Thank you."

Client

“I wish to personally thank my solicitor Mr Elliot Bannister for the powers of resource, indomitable energy and strength of mind. The dogged determination to carry through to a successful result."

Client

“What proved to be a difficult case, one that other solicitors were unable to handle. Deighton Pierce Glynn did get justice for our daughter/granddaughter, Sarah & Elliot went that extra mile. Our family will forever be so grateful for what they did.”

Expertise

Many of Elliot’s cases concern complaints and civil actions against the police. These include seeking accountability for clients who have been:

  • Unlawfully arrested or otherwise detained,
  • Subjected to unlawful force,
  • Maliciously prosecuted,
  • Discriminated against e.g., on the grounds of race or disability,
  • The victims of serious sexual and violent crimes which are then inadequately investigated and/or prosecuted,
  • Prevented from exercising their right to peaceful protest,
  • Subjected to treatment that breaches their other legal rights, including under the Human Rights Act and the Data Protection Act.

Elliot also acts for families of loves ones who died in police or prison custody, following police restraint.
